CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION

1.1 Purpose of the study

The purpose of the study is to know about investment avenues available in India, where do the people like to invest their savings, what are the various factors that they consider before investing in any financial instrument, to give a suggestion to the company where its funds lack in the market and how it should be rectified, to evaluate the consumer’s attitude towards saving and decision making regarding investments.

Savings form a very important part of the economy of any nation. People work hard for their entire lives to earn their living. From that they save some part in a hope that it will be used for future. These savings are generally invested with a hope to get good returns from it. This invested money earns us profit in a regular course. These profit margins depend upon the different investment avenues available in the market.

Infinity Finserv Pvt Ltd is a company founded jointly by: Abhinesh Kumar, Ex BDM at ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund and Mohit Gupta, Ex BA, Barclays Bank, UK. Today this company is managing over Rs 120 crores of assets vide more than 3000 clients.
