The movie, American Sniper, has definitely been one of the most anticipated and controversial films of 2014. The movie is directed by Clint Eastwood, and stars Bradley Cooper. This movie tells the unique and complicated story of former navy seal, Chris Kyle. Chris Kyle is mostly known as the most lethal sniper in U.S military history. Chris had 160 confirmed kills in total of all of his tours of duty. Unfortunately, Chris Kyle was killed at a gun range by a former marine who had a history of mental illness. Chris Kyle released a book called “American Sniper,” which later developed into a film. The movie was made in memory of him and to tell his story. This movie is a very touching war film. The care and passion that was put into this movie is clearly shown through the acting, cinematography, realistic war scenes, and dedication from the actors. This movie not only speaks to those who loved Chris Kyle, but also to those who have family members serving or have served in the U.S. Military. Clint Eastwood makes sure that those who served are properly respected and honored for their service. This is why the movie is a great film…

Chris had signed up to join, but was later turned down because of the pins that was in his arm “as fate had it, they called him back sometime later and offered him to try out for BUDS which is the basic schooling/course before SEALS” (“Chris Kyle Navy SEAL”). Chris had an extremely difficult time while he was trying out in BUDS training as Chris had stated in his autobiography “at one stage I wanted to ring the bell so I could go home but couldn't have been bothered walking all the way to the bell to ring it, so I stuck with it” (The American Sniper) he almost did not finish training. After his training Chris was assigned to SEAL Team…
Clint Eastwood’s critical, box office and Academy Awards juggernaut tells the tale of Chris Kyle (Bradley Cooper), a prolific, er, American sniper, and his endeavours on and off the battlefield during the Iraq war. It’s a heavily lethargic adaptation of a heavily controversial book about a heavily divisive ‘American Hero’. Not to say that the flick itself is wildly patriotic – though the ending tries its best to disprove that – but nor is it an anti-war film, as director Eastwood haplessly attempts to argue. Which is where American Sniper’s greatest fault, among many faults, lies; it’s a film that is too afraid to carry any political heft, any commentary that would make the viewing experience worthwhile. As a result, the whole point of the film is rendered null.…
Chris Kyle was a natural born killer from the first time he was handed a gun. Born in Odessa, Texas, he began hunting with his own rifles and shotguns at age eight. After he finished school, he became a professional bronco rider, but his career ended quickly after he injured his arm. After his arm healed he turned to the military for a job, but was turned down because of the pins in his arm. After a few months he received a call and was invited to the training for the Navy SEALS. He ended up becoming a sniper in SEAL Team 3 and served four tours of duty in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Over the four tours of duty, Kyle racked up 255 claimed kills and 160 confirmed kills. His longest successful shot was 2,100 yards or 1.2 miles, just outside Sadr City in 2008.…

Out of the books I read American Sniper is the best one. It’s a book about action and love. It starts off with the young Chris Kyle riding broncos. He decided to go into the army after he saw how bad the nation was becoming. During training he met the love of his life and made a lot of friends. This book is a good read and I recommend it to all readers.…
In the story ,V for Vendetta, it made me open my eyes to who and what's around me in the world. Everyone has their own different personality and traits. Throughout life we meet thousands of new people every year but, the one thing that I notice was how people express their emotions or love in different ways. I compared this story to a personal reflection of how I read two characters, V and Evey. Both characters tend to show their love but in different ways. While reading the story you can tell that these two characters do care for one another but, V takes a turn to what shows me that people express themselves in different ways. He tries explaining to her in words that what he is doing to these people like killing and torturing them is right but she tends not to agree with him. So, he found that the only way she will listen to him, if he pretends to be someone else and basically kidnaps her.…
