It is upon passing the setting sun that she realizes that she was not passing by those objects, but rather they were passing her by. As the dew settles she represses in the cold, seemingly as if she realizes how lonely she is, after basking in the brilliance of the field and sun. Her clothing is of a pale contrast, giving her an almost ghostly visage. This is where they come upon a house, or rather a home. She realizes this is a grave, as she takes in the swelling of the ground, the roof that is hard to see being the top of her casket, and the cornice or gravestone planted before her. This is her grave, and this is what they were traveling towards since the beginning of the trip. Though, she knows that she has been buried there for a long time. To her the ride had taken only but a day, yet she can tell it has been centuries. It is here that she sounds almost disappointed, for when she rode with Death and Immortality she thought they were heading towards eternity. Further demonstrating that the thought of living or experiencing forever is just outside the reach of
