Breastfeeding vs Bottle-feeding What do you think is much better, breastfeeding or formula?. Many women have realized the advantages and the benefits of breastfeeding over many years. At the same time, lots of women opposite, the idea of breastfeeding and they prefer formula over it but they are wrong. In fact, some women prefer breastfeeding since it is free and on its ease of use. Breastfeeding is comfortable; it doesn’t require to do bottle feeding. Whatever, breastfeeding or formula, the mother is the first and the last person who make a choice on the way that she fed her baby. Selecting to breastfeed is a hard choice that demands tough work. Great emotion between mothers and their infants develop during breastfeeding. According to the article by Nicole M. Else Quest ..et al who report, *Mothers often report that breastfeeding is an enjoyable and emotionally beneficial experience they share with their infants *. women who breastfeed share the emotion with their infants and they see it pleasant experience. Also, breastfeeding is very beneficial to the mother and the child to reduce anxiety. The position of skin to skin between the mothers with their infants during breastfeeding has had great impacts to reduce anxiety to the mother and the infant and help relax. First, most women believe that formula is quite to grow faster in their infants. Also, other women think that formula is much convenient than breastfeeding when it comes in public place. Many women choose formula because its more comfortable to them, they think that breastfeeding is shame in public places to show their breasts. I totally disagree the first opinion that formula is very helpful to grow faster in infants. According to this article by Barbara Lorraine Michiels Hernandez, Ismatara Reena, George Strickland and Connie Ruiz who report * Recent research has shown that formula-fed infants grew faster, did not learn to self-regulate their energy intake, and had higher cholesterol and plasma insulin concentrations than breastfed infants * This article proved that formula leads to gain weight faster than breast milk in infants which is bad leading to obesity during early childhood . Breastfeeding is the correct way to grow normally since it has the important elements like minerals,fats and vitamins. Second, I agree with the idea that formula is more convenience in public place than breastfeeding.
