Confucianism and Buddhism have similar views on women because in both religions, women are viewed as a way to further the success of of the family. In contrast, Buddhist women are seen as equals and are more respected than the strict patriarchy of Confucianism. For example if her parents arrange a marriage with a man in a higher class, that is furthering the success of the family.
