Compare And Contrast Chipmunk And Squirrel

The habitats of both a chipmunk and a squirrel are quite different. A chipmunk will burrow underground, but a squirrel will build nests or find cavities in trees. Chipmunks can dig their burrows up to thirty feet long. On the other hand, squirrels nests are usually at least twenty feet up the tree. North America houses all chipmunks, except for one species that is found in Asia. Meanwhile, squirrels are found almost all over the planet.
The diets of chipmunks and squirrels are very similar. They both eat some kind of plant material, seeds, nuts, and acorns. Maybe even berries, leaves, or twigs.
