Compare And Contrast Emma And Dr. Laurenz
Caught off Guard
¨Take a right in one-quarter of a mile.¨ The GPS seemed to in the silence.
The moon shone bright on that halloween night, being the only source of light illuminating a mysterious, winding road. Emma, Detective Emma, and Dr. Laurenz were in the only car out. It was almost ten o'clock and the only sounds to be heard were those of crickets and tree branches whispering among themselves. It was a chilly fall night and there was frost starting to form on the trees as they drove by.
Emma was a woman in her mid-20’s. She had beautiful auburn hair that she curled and strung up into a high ponytail. She wore a light blue v-neck and a vest that was as black as a panther. Denim jeans kept her warm and neon-green and blue sneakers shone

Laurenz. He was a middle-aged man with a tall and muscular stature. He wore a calm, collected expression on his face even in the toughest of moments. He wore a lab coat and a dark blue shirt under with his name embroidered across it. He had hazel eyes and an extremely fair, almost pale, complexion. He had a very closed and kind manner. Emma and Dr. Laurenz had been working together for as long as they could remember. They were on their 8th, maybe 9th murder case and if they did it, if they solved the most difficult case they had been assigned, Emma would get her promotion. She would become one of the best known detectives in town. As Emma was embracing her fantasy, Dr. Laurenz snapped her out of …show more content…
As she rattled it around Emma heard it click open. She pulled the drawer out and found a key. Literally one key. As Emma pulled it out she asked Doc to find the room. Emma opened the room and her mouth hung wide open in awe. They may have not found the murderer, however what they discovered was better. It was the lair. Empty bottles and fast food packages were strewn everywhere. Mappings of the murders and victims were mapped out along the walls and books of information filled the room. Emma could not believe her eyes. Without wasting any time the two mystery solvers pulled out books and started reading. After at least an hour of being in the room, Emma could hear a low rumble in her

Briskly walking through the mysterious darkness of the menacing forest, grasping tightly my withering frozen hand, my petrified newly wed wife clung on for protection. It was pitch dark on a cold foggy night in the mid days of December. We were in search of somewhere to rest our staggering and lost bodies. My wife and I had been walking for miles through this never ending cursed old forest.…

The night descended into a haunting quietude notwithstanding, as the tranquility was overwhelmed by the benign yet mournful screech of a night owl, perched on the lowly branch of an elm tree. It was perhaps the most idyllic night in a long, long while. It was the perfect night to die, and Ms. Brundidge couldn’t have been any prouder of her decision to let go, tonight.…

It was a cold winter day in the town of Budville. The sky was a leaden grey, heavy with snow. The ground was blanketed in a thick layer of frost, sparkling like countless diamonds under the dim light of the morning sun. Maria, a young girl of ten or eleven, trudged through the snow, her breath forming tiny white clouds in front of her face. She wore a thick fur coat and mittens, her scarf wrapped tightly around her neck to protect her from the bitter cold.…

Rubbing her eyes, she leaps out of her blankets and almost hits her head on her mahogany dresser. Damn, she thinks to herself. She pulls her window curtains apart, and casts a furtive glance out the window. It’s a typical day in Harpswell, Maine: the birds are chirping, the water is still, and the ever pungent smell of mud lingers. Eva steps downstairs, pausing to press her finger against a portrait of her deceased grandfather.…

As soon as she pulled onto the highway, the lightning flashed across the sky and she knew it would start raining soon. Ruth was unfamiliar with the curvy roads, and slowed down when the rain started forming a lake on the road in front of her, making it difficult for her to see the lines on the highway. Dark clouds hung slightly above the road and the sounds of rain beating against the car bothered her. “Perhaps I shouldn’t have chosen this day to ghost hunting,” she said as the inside windows fogged over, turning on the defroster she calmed down and sang along with the radio.…

You see, both Lauren and Madelynn had the same problem. They both really wanted to do algebra (an advanced math class) and band, both of which they enjoyed.…

A breeze fluttered through the cool and crisp night as my sisters group of friends were about to play manhunt, a favorite game of theirs. They had heard stories of how the trees would move in the night, but of course, it seemed so unrealistic, who would believe that? They had been busy with their activities for the past few days and were anxious to join their friends again, much too excited to believe some tall tale. This night Charlene, Andie, Everly, Rebel, and Lauren were going to meet at the Simpsonwood trails at 10:00pm. Their ages hovered around age 13.…

As an observant gentleman, it was fairly easy for him to take into account all of the clues in both Dr. Roylott’s bedroom and Helen’s Bedroom. With a comprehensive mind, it was simple and easy for him to make a hypothesis of who the criminal was. This mysterious novel was a foul play because of the true and false traces left by the murderer and found by Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson throughout the story. These indications either lead the sleuths towards who the assassin was or away. The final mood shifts from petrified to happy, and the final tone shifts from challenging to uplifting.…
