Compare and contrast essay

Why do people have to be beautiful on the outside just to be a "good" person? Why can’t people be beautiful physically as well as inner beauty? People underestimate the things the naked eye sees. People often look at peoples appearances and don’t really search for who they are. Instead, they look at what is presented despite whether they what to know who the person truly is.
What does physical beauty mean to you? Thanks to society, physical beauty is often looked at as being perfect and without flaws which can be very deceiving. Society also, makes you think that you need make-up and brand named clothes to make you a beautiful perfect person. Physical beauty is considered to be something on the outside that has a spectacular effect or appearance to one’s desired appeal. Now days, physical beauty is the only thing that matters to most people just to fit in, to be popular and to be a "good" person.
What is inner beauty mean to you? Inner beauty is the inside of a person’s true meaning and who they really are. It is the meaning of beauty and is what makes a person physically beautiful. Inner beauty can be more extravagant than what is on the outside, only if people would take the time to appreciate honest, true and real people. Inner beauty doesn’t mean u have to look pretty on the outside to be beautiful.
Physical and inner beauty are similar in some ways. For example if someone is beautiful on the outside but a very terrible person on the inside, that is considered physical beauty, but they could be both if they chose to be. A person can be both physically inner beautiful if they set high standards and have good character. But no matter how fat, skinny, ugly or beautiful if they have a beautiful heart then their inner beauty will reflect and create the beauty physically. If the person is beautiful physically, and has a straight up rude selfish character then,

How does one measure beauty? Is it measured by the depth of an individual’s personality, or perhaps by the goodness of a person’s heart? Of course that would entail actually having to interact with someone longer than the casual glance and judge routine we have spent generations mastering. No matter how twisted, cracked, and deformed a person’s soul may be doesn’t matter, as long as they have enough cosmetics to cake on and can afford some minor surgery that is. In today’s society we measure beauty through what we see and what we are told is beautiful, because deciding on our own would just be too difficult. Thankfully we have the influence of things like television and celebrities to guide the way into the glamorous world of beautiful people. Because who cares if the majority of your beauty could be removed with a moist tissue and you haven’t seen food in a week as long as you look pretty.…

Beauty is a misconception. America's standards of beauty are based on physical appearance (hair, shape, complexion, height, and etc). Standards of beauty promoted in the media are deceiving because in magazines, photos are edited to change the physical body structure, complexions, and facial features of models and celebrities. Editors say that photos are edited to inspire people to stay fit, to draw attention to the magazine, and to make the people more appealing to the human eye.…

When you look in the mirror, do you see “beautiful”? Did you know that there’s a kind of beauty that isn’t tangible? Beauty is more than one might think; it is more rare. Those who have seen it know it to be something that cannot be captured by a photograph, it must be told by a story. If it has not been clear yet, beauty is not by any means physical aesthetics, but rather it is the actions that make-up an appealing disposition. Through the centuries, so many have wrongly credited beauty to be a person’s looks. The inevitable problem with that kind of beauty is the ever changing idea of what it is, and how it fails to express true beauty.…

Nature is very cruel because it selects certain people to be more attractive than others. It would be a fairer world if every person looked like a Hollywood star. It would be even better if outward appearances were not that important. But none of us can deny that we are influenced by a person's good looks. Men in positions of power choose only beautiful women as wives and pass by the less than attractive. The "sugar daddy" thinks like those in power because he is influenced only by appearances. We should accept the way they both think because all men will imitate them if given the chance. Those of us that say: "inner beauty" is more important then external appearances are only fooling themselves. There is nothing as beautiful or important in this world as an extremely attractive woman. There are thousands of stories written about her loveliness. Few stories are written about inner beauty.…

Beauty is something that can be interpreted completely different from person to person. A famous quote that goes along with this perfectly is “beauty is in the eye of the beholder.” I think a person’s inner beauty should be taken into account when deciding whether or not a person is beautiful. Wikipedia’s definition of beauty is, “a characteristic of a person, animal, place, object, or idea that provides a perceptual experience of pleasure or satisfaction” while Oxford Dictionary states, “beauty is a combination of qualities, such as shape, color, or form, that pleases the aesthetic senses, especially sight.” As you can see, inner beauty could be paired with Wiki’s definition and outer beauty could be paired with Oxfords. Of course, there is no way of telling which definition is more correct, but, for the majority of today’s society, outer beauty seems to be the primary focus.…

The term beauty is unique to each and every person. Today, an enormous amount of emphasis is placed on a person’s physical appearance. Physically attractive women and men are known as beautiful , and those individuals who don’t meet society’s standards of “beauty” are teased or ridiculed. Source D (Rosen) states that our societies goal has changed from what used to be encouraged, a lifelong process of moral education, to a rather vain goal of the appearance of success, health and beauty. Beauty doesn’t always have to mean the outward appearance of a person. Beauty can define a person’s heart and personality. It can describe an inspiring view, or it can explain a person’s actions. A person’s appearance can be described as beautiful too, but that is only part of beauty's definition. A person can be beautiful just from the way they act towards others or the way they go about their daily lives.…

Inner beauty, on the other hand, doesn't usually diminish the physical attributes of an individual, unless the person judging the beauty is shallow and only enjoys the physical beauty of an individual. How many times have you seen someone that is not necessarily physically "good looking" win you over as a friend based on their personality? Many people have heard of the old saying that “beauty comes from within.” Although beauty is difficult to define due to differential views, the majority of people may agree that it is a person’s personality that makes them beautiful. According to Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary, beauty is“the quality of being physically attractive.” Although this definition is somewhat true, it is not all that defines the term. Due to a new uprising in pop culture, beauty is now defined only by the attractive, physical traits a person has. Also, this generation attempts to sell beauty as a vapid and superficial pursuit that exists solely to sell products and wag tongues. Beauty is actually precisely identified, purposeful, and has…

The term beauty is subjective to each and every person. Today, so much emphasis is placed on a person’s physical appearance. Physically attractive girls and guys are known as beautiful and desirable, and those individuals who don’t meet society’s standards of “beauty” are mocked or ridiculed. Beauty could be defined as an outward apperience.According to William Shakespeare(1588) “Beauty is bought by judgement of the eye”. A lot of people cave into beauty as being a thing they look at. Beauty is something that brings their eyes happiness like Stendhal(1871)said, “Beauty is the promise of happiness”. They lust after someone because of the pleasure they see out of the situation. They might not know it but they are looking at if you have straight teeth, a "normal" size nose, how defined your cheeks are, how sharp your chin is, how much you weigh, how fit you are, the shape of your body, and a lot more. To me, I feel this is the wrong way to think. I might on occasion do this but it is not right judging people like that. God made everyone equal and they should all be treated equal.…
