Essay 3 Rough Draft
CHEVY VS. FORD
Ford cars are pretty good cars, although they are innovative and surprising at times, they
are a little mariachi. According to the book Chevy Stoked Cars, “Ford associations with
speed were information, cruise control, power windows and locks and a tilt and telescope
steering column. When push comes to shove Fords might seem to be the best decision for those
looking for a long distance tow vehicle. As Krome C. says “I’d bet the result would have a
surprisingly big impact on the marketplace. Ford Motor Company has been selling mass-
produced automobiles around the globe for over 100 years. In 1908, the company created the

possibly the most famous car of all times. Today Ford offers a variety of cars, trucks
and SUV’s for every lifestyle.
Like the F150 has been America’s best selling truck for decades.
According to the book Chevy stocked cars, “Ford associations with speed were during the 1930’s
and soon both racers and bank robbers ( such as Clyde Barrow) were making fast getaways in
ford- powered cars.”
Chevy truck drag races time is, 18.08 mph 73.51, and Ford runs an 18.53 mph
74.44. This makes Chevy trucks better than Ford. Chevy also is great on the highway and
rock climbing. Ford is good on dirt, gravel, and hill climbing. Ford Explores has a
length of 197.1 inches and a width of 90.2 inches including the exterior mirrors. The latest
Explorer is a fair amount larger than the outgoing model- and it’s one of the biggest in its class
measuring in just three inches shorter than a GMC Acadia. By 1927, Chevrolet out sold rival
Ford with sales in excess of one million units. According to Kinder Essington, “both brands
are male. Mature yet youthful and robust.”( says Kinder Essington)
Chevy cars are one of America’s number one cars, since 1911. In 1950, the
Chevy company introduced it’s alluring Corvette. That vehicle was the first to have a
fiberglass
body. That’s why the Chevy car model’s body is so solid and trust worthy. The Chevy cars
didn’t start getting car features until the 1950’s: that’s when the GM entry level division.
added power brakes, power windows and air conditioning, allowing luxury for those on tighter
budgets. As time went by, technology increased and the Chevy cars improved. The 2011
Chevy cars come with much better features and power. The new 2011 Cruze LTZ has
a six speed automatic transmission and a 1.4 L turbocharged engine. Coming late in 2010, the
Cruze Eco is expected to offer up to 40 MPG highway (7). That’s better standard highway fuel
economy than the 2011 Ford Focus.
The Cruze comes with standard airbags to help protect heads, chest and knees. It
comes with a high- strength steel safety cage and crush resistant roof that outperforms the
requirements. And every Cruze comes protected and connected by on star and turn by turn
navigation system. The price for this vehicle starts at $16,275.
Is Chevy better than Ford? Yes, in many different ways. Chevy cars are very good in
snow and in stuck situations because of it the wonderful 4x4 drive Ford is an good car, but their
transmission isn’t very dependable. Ford engine power isn’t as powerful as Chevy engine
power. Ford is like a rock and Chevy is like a horse, (who is stronger Chevy.) Chevy’s body has
more exclusive features than Ford, thier body form has more curves and is more exciting than
Ford. And for the 2011 Cruze , the standard fuel economy has 36 and ford Focus has 35. As
Kinder Essington say, “Ford, as portrayed, by Mike Rowe is genuine, self- sufficient and
surprising.” “What will he do next?”
