In the year 2000, prominent presidential candidates raced hectically against each other. The main two political parties chose Al Gore for the Democrats and George W. Bush for the Republicans. The phrase, "too close to call", squandered endlessly as the electoral college could not predict the future leader even on Election Night due to the fact that the margins were almost indistinguishable. Florida, the fourth largest electoral vote state, had a nail biting recount due to the ambiguity of the final results. Nonetheless, here contends the political and economic effects of the campaign, and the way the nation changed due to the decisions of the winner.

George Bush was destined for politics; his father was a former president, thus, Bush becoming the governor of Texas was no surprise. Additionally, he attended prestigious universities such as Yale and Harvard further qualifying him for his future in politics.
Bush and his campaign was appealing as many moderates and Christian conservatives who favored his ideals thanks to his bipartisan governing. His campaign slogan “Reformer With Results” spoke out to many people and reflected his ideals. Bush had a wide range of focuses upon entering the race for presidency. He sought to reform schools as he did in Texas. His tax plan promoted economic growth and increase access to the middle class by cutting high marginal rates. Also, he believed in a strong, modern army for the changing 21st century technology and innovations. When it came to health care, Bush sought to make more insured and provide health care decisions to the hands of the consumers rather than the government. In addition, Bush believed the best gun control measure was to vigorously prosecute those who illegally sell guns, those who illegally carry guns, and those who illegally commit crimes with
