Have you ever read a good book and then the movie was totally different or even slightly different? When a book is made into a movie it will alway be different. The directors have to pick what they find the most important because a movie can only be so long, while a book can be as long as it wants. While picking the parts they want they miss minor details or even huge parts of the plot or they even change things and make them their own.
