Intro: Although the big empires, Europe and Japan were really successful feudalist empires and both had some similarities and differences during the 9th to 13th century, which made them unique empires in the world. Both of the empires have a similar concept of elite warriors, different treatment of women during the post-classical era, and a similar political structure of a hereditary caste system, which were the main reasons they became successful empires.
Body Paragraph#1: Both the Europeans and the Japanese had successful warriors that helped them succeed. In both feudal Japan and Europe, constant warfare made warriors the most important class. Called the “Knights” in Europe and “Samurai” in Japan, the warriors served their local lords. In both cases, Knight and Samurais were bound by a code of ethics. Knights were supposed to agree to the concept of Chivalry, while the Samurai were bound by the Bushido, or “The way of the warrior.” Both Knight and Samurai rode horses into battles, used swords, and wore armor. The European armor, which was worn by the knights, was usually all metal, made of chain, or plate metal. Japanese

In Europe, women were responsible for certain activities and were also treated with respect, while in Japan, they were entirely serving men. The European women were expected to stay home and be trained in household chores, such as farming or sewing, and they didn’t have an option to chose who they want to marry. On the other hand, the Japanese women held a more equal status as Japanese men. For example, the Japanese women were allowed to inherit part of their family’s estate and some women even became Samurais. The use of a feudal system in Japan affected their women by becoming more equal, while in Europe, they were only valued for their work and what they did. Women enjoyed a higher role and status in Japan at the time, due to the feudal

Imagine yourself as a Samurai, you are in the middle of defeating the European knights who are covered in plated armor. You begin to worry but then, you win, these are the reasons why a Samurai is better than a knight. Feudalism in Europe and Japan were both very similar. They both has rulers, and they both had rulers who hired nobles, and they both had nobles who hired landowners, and they both had landowners who hired warriors to protect the slaves and their land. If samurai and knights were to have fought against each other the samurai would have won because, they had movable armor and it was easier for them to dodge anything that a knight would slowly lunge at them with. If a Samurai and knights battled the knights would have fallen because, their armor was very defective. A knight's armor wasn’t made for easy movement, this made it more difficult for them to fight, but overall they were well protected(Document B). Their armor did defend them but, a Knight’s armor could easily be penetrated by a soldier…

In document D founded by The DBQ Project states that “Knights had their whole body covered with metal which helped them stay more protected.”If a samurai shot an arrow at a knight, the knight would be as injured if he was not wearing a complete suit of armor. Another piece of evidence that supports the claim is in document D produced by The DBQ Project it states that “Samurai’s armor was all on their body except for their right arm.”This was because it would be easier to draw their bow,but a knight can easily cut off the samurai’s right arm. The armor for the knight was an advantage, but their are more advantages for knights. The final way that knights were stronger was their Honor Code. In document E produced by The DBQ Project states that “At a ceremony a knight would take a vow to true knighthood and to do know wicked deed.”Knights had to be loyal to the king, to give mercy to anyone who asks of it,and to fight for no wrong quarrel. It also states in document E produced by The DBQ Project states that “To dishonor knighthood would be a great disgrace;to prove themselves worthy of knightly honor by...Knights had to be strong, brave, courteous, loyal bearing under great diffculties was the highest end of the…

The Japanese called their warriors Samurai, and the Europeans called their warriors Knights. They both swore oaths of loyalty to noble lords and fought to the death to defend them. This happened at the same time even though Japan and Europe were thousands of miles apart.…

In the first battle scene the Japanese army is unprepared even though that had a huge advantage over the samurai as far as technology goes. The samurai used bow and arrows, swords, spears, and rode on horseback. They wore traditional dress such as large metal armor and ornate headpieces. The Japanese army wore modern outfits and fired their arms in synchronized lines. The samurai reigned victorious. It was considered an honor among the samurai to die in battle while fighting for what they believed in. They practiced a form of suicide known as hari cari if they were disloyal. The societies and political structure during Renaissance Europe, Edo Japan and Aztecs all have their similarities and differences. In Edo Japan and Renaissance Europe, feudalism was the main structure of power; however in Renaissance Europe, a large emphasis was put on trading as well, but in Edo Japan no trade was allowed, as Japan was still in isolation. The Aztecs considered most of their workers as equals, but nobles were given an advantage in education becoming a warrior because they started much earlier in age. This is similar many Renaissance city states where nobles were treated better and were able to get better jobs with less work. In both the Aztec and Japanese culture, warriors (until the Mejia revolution) were highly valued both religiously and militarily. Aztecs and Italian Renaissance citizens both highly valued their gods, but they worshipped them in…

A samurai’s armor was very well made of steel, silk, leather, and wood. The armor was not the most protective but it allowed for maximum movement and made it easier to fight in battle. The armor usually covered the left arm because samurais were made to use their right arm even if they were left handed. The armor also served as a fear tactic. The mask made the samurais look like demons which made some enemies surrender to them. The samurai's armor was also a sign of pride. It showed who they were and they took very good care of the armor, treating it like family. This description is just a small sampling of the samurai…
