As a sophomore, James was chosen for the USA today Allstar first team. He was the first to be chosen for that award. He also led the team to another Division
III state title; for the second year in a row. James was having an amazing junior year when he thought about going pro. His senior year he lead his team to their third state title and he was averaging 31.6 points per game. Throughout his whole high school career James scored 2,657 points, 892 rebounds, and 523 assists. James was then drafted straight into the NBA and was the first draft pick.
