Frederick Douglass and Malcolm X were both powerful protesters against racism in their times, but each had their own style of expressing themselves. For example, Frederick Douglass used strong negative connotations in his writing and Malcolm X had a very radical and persuasive tone. Their actions also defined their character. After a close look at both, I believe Malcolm X was a better leader against racism for two reasonshis actions against racism were more powerful and his speeches were more deep. Frederick, on the other hand, expressed himself more in his writing than in his actions.
Although he did protest segregated seating on trains by sitting in cars reserved for whites, this is just something small compared to the protests Malcolm X caused and influenced.
The speeches Malcolm X gave were also much more deep and critical. For example, this quote he gave during one of his speeches was very persuasive, “I am for violence if nonviolence means we
continue postponing a solution to the American black man’s problem…”. This quote persuaded and motivated people not to be afraid to use self defense. Malcolm X was not afraid to say that violence should be used to defend themselves. What he had to say, he said proudly showing only strength. He persuaded people to take action. Frederick Douglass didn 't really motivate people as much as Malcolm
X did. His writing talking about his slave days was just about it. He only motivated people by telling them about his experiences as a slave.
Lastly, Malcolm X personally took lead in each protest, march, and arrest. Malcolm
