MLK was a fan of Gandhi and he was the one who inspired MLK to approach his way of Black Rights with no violence. In addition, MLK led eight peaceful protests the first one was the Montgomery Bus Boycott in the year 1955-56 it began on December 1, 1955 after Rosa Parks wouldn’t give up her seat to a white person. The next day MLK proposed a citywide boycott of transportation at the city church. The boycott proved to be effective causing the transit system to run a huge deficit. Next, the second protest he did was The Albany Movement in 1961. This protest was in November in 1961 in Albany GA. Next, MLK joined in December planning to only run it for one day. Malcolm gave a speech at the Audubon Ballroom in Harlem. Member of the Nation of Islam were true to their word and shot and killed Malcom X as he was giving his speech he died at age 39. Many Americans view his killing as simply as an ongoing feud between him and the Nation of Islam in March 1964 and as the months wore on the ill feeling between Malcolm’s camp and the Nation of Islam grew increasingly burning with bitter charge coming from both sides. The Nation of Islam also owned his house so they asked him to leave it but since he didn’t do as they asked they firebombed his house. Three members of the Nation of Islam were tested and found guilty for the murder of Malcolm X two of them stayed innocent and a ton of research has since cast doubt on the results of the case.
The person who killed MLK was a big raciest back then. He was staying at a motel that was close to a place that MLK was staying at. So people wouldn’t know what he was up to he rented the room under the name Eric Starvo Galt just to cover himself up. In addition, on April 4th, 1968 he stood in his bathtub of a shared bathroom with the rifle outside the window on a ledge and shot MLK as the Civil Rights leader was standing on his balcony in his motel.
