As three of Palo Verde High School’s top graduating seniors, the dexterous trio said the key to their success is setting priorities, taking advice from their parents and doing what it takes to make their parents proud.
Serving as this year’s valedictorian with a 4.29 cumulative GPA , Jocelyne Milke prides herself on working hard and being able to accomplish such a feat.

Dating for the past few months, Milke and Harlow both push each other towards excellence and approves strongly of each other’s next step in life.
Jocelyne Milke will attend the University of California, Los Angeles, M. Milke will attend University of California, Irvine, with plans to transfer to Pomona College or University of California, Berkeley, whereas, Harlow will attend Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, Arizona.
Graduating at the top of her class, J. Milke said, “It’s unreal. It’s pretty crazy and exciting too. I never imagined something like this.”
With plans of becoming a pediatrician, J. Milke said she hopes to make a difference in the world and show her parents, Brenda and Miguel Milke, that she can be successful just like them.
Not ready to fly too far from the nest just yet, M. Milke has high hopes of becoming a world-class cardiologist someday.

Wanting to fly all around the world, Harlow has already logged pilot hours to get him closer to his dream.
Attributing his drive for excellence to his father, Harlow said that his father is the most influential person in his life, teaching him that hard work pays off.
“Some advice my dad gave me back in kindergarten, he told me to look around and he asked, do you like these things you have, and I said yes, and he said, well if you like these things you have, you need to do well in school, get a good job, so you can get the money you want and buy the things you like,” Harlow relayed.
While Harlow, the son of Dwayne and Diane Harlow works eight hours a day and attend school, both girls, who just happens to be first cousins said they enjoy reading a good book.
Spending her free time with family or watching Netflix, J. Milke said her favorite genre of reading is adventure, whereas, M. Milke said she enjoys being able to finally take naps with a break from all the school work and in her downtime, she loves reading anything
