Compare And Contrast Montag's Allegory In Fahrenheit 451

Montag in Fahrenheit 451 is the protagonist of the story who starts without the knowledge of the tyranny in his dystopian society. From then on, he discovers more about the so called “Bad influences” called books and decides to read them, filling his brain with the truth. Eventually, Montag ends up running away from the society and joins a new society of Harvard Professors and other people with great knowledge. In Plato’s allegory of The Cave, he finds a new character who Montag is strikingly similar to. The reason why The Enlightened Prisoner in The Cave is so similar to Montag is because they go through the similar process of enlightenment.
