In the poem, Tabrizi uses the expression “A Thousand Splendid Suns” to illustrate the beauty of Afghanistan by personifying as a beautiful woman. It is therefore it is ironic that a novel that depicts the destruction of Afghanistan’s culture and the power structure, as in how much they value men to women. Most of the characters are the same in both stories. In both the movie and the book, you still have characters like Hannah, Rivka, Shmuel, Fayge, Esther, a baby, lots of kids and adults, and the Natzi army people. So as you can see, there are lots of similar characters in the book and the movie. As well as the characters, the plots are the same in some parts of the two genres. For example, there is a scene in the movie that shows four people trying to escape the camps. Similarly, in the book, there are four people trying to escape. Also, the people at the camps do work of some sort. In the movie, they are digging holes in the dirt. In the book, they are working in the kitchens. Therefore, the fact that they are working is the same. Those were ways to show how the plot can be alike. Another way the two stories are the same is the theme of the movie and the book. The theme is “Remember, never forget.” In the book, Hannah tells Rivka to remember and to not forget. Likewise, in the movie Rivka’s mom say’s, “We need to remember, do not forget.” That’s the way that theme is the same in both of the…

The novel "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time" isn 't just a young autistic boy 's story. Whilst it does describe the protagonist Christopher Boone 's "reality", the narrative is much deeper. The issues that surround Christopher are vital to the storyline, providing a complexity that suggests the "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time" is far from simple. While a major part of the novel, autism is not the only theme explored. In addition to autism itself, the effects of this disorder are central to the characters involved in Christopher 's life, and is the root cause of many dramatic events. The break-up of Christopher 's parents Ed and Judy can partially be attributed to their son 's behavioural problems, which leads to more problems. In "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time" there are two authors; writer Mark Haddon and Christopher Boone, a sufferer of the disorder autism. Haddon uses Christopher as a means of expressing the human condition - that we all struggle, all achieve and all fail…

(MIP-2) Negative events that appear in the text take place where the stars sit in the sky with the presence of Najmah and Nusrat. (SIP-A) Secondly, Staples introduces the stars into negative incidents during Najmah’s journey and her experiences. (STEWE-1) Najmah traveled among the hills allowing the animals to graze and when nightfall came, Najmah had witnessed seeing these shooting stars and immediately assumed they were the Americans shooting the stars out of the sky. Najmah lay awake in terror that night, “I lie awake the rest of the night in terror, with the stars exploding in a heaven that seems close enough to touch”(64).
