President Barack Obama and Princess Diana have both made huge differences in society. During Obama’s nearly eight years as President, the unemployment rate has dropped to below 5% and he is the first president to publicly express support for same-sex marriage. Princess Diana played a significant role in changing people’s perceptions of people with HIV, as well as the passing of The Mine-ban Convention.

Her marriage with Prince Charles gave her multiple titles; Princess of Wales, Duchess of Cornwall, Duchess of Rothesay, Countess of Chester and Baroness of Renfrew. Diana and Charles’ divorce was finalized on August 28th 1996, and she went back to her title as Lady Diana Spencer. She died in a tragic car accident in Paris on August 31st
