In the last few years, there is a rising amount of reports concerning domestic violence towards women. Two professors of psychology from the University of Washington, that were unsatisfied with the authorities' treatment regarding battering men, sought to investigate the field. In their study, that included 63 couples where the wives were victims of battered man, it was discovered an unusual physiological difference that distinction between two types of batterers: the pit bull and the cobra. They described the two types according to their behavior towards woman – the pit bull is aggressive and hot-tempered, and the cobra is usually calm and strikes without warnings.
