Compare And Contrast Raymond's Run And Maniac Magee

With the two stories Raymond’s Run and Maniac Magee, they are similar and they also have differences. They both have the sense of friendship at the end of Raymond’s Run and Maniac Magee. I think these two stories are saying sometimes you need friends in life.
In Maniac Magee Maniac/Jeffrey meets a girl at school named Amanda Beale. Amanda shows Jeffrey her books in her bag and Jeffery is shocked. Jeffrey wants to borrow a book and then they both start talking to each other and then Amanda has to go inside of the school. Then Jeffrey starts living with The Beales. Later on, in the story, something happens to Jeffrey that he doesn’t like and he wants to leave town. The point of this passage is to show that sometimes you need friends in life.
