Compare And Contrast Reclining Nude And The Starry Night

Therefore, even though these two art works are from different authors, they do have similitudes and differences. First of all, both works have several similitudes. For example, both paintings utilized the same medium. As well, they both used an abstracting technique.
In Vincent van Gogh’s painting it can be appreciated the few combinations of colors he used. He basically made used of black, blue, yellow, and white. However, he was able to make a great contrast. For example, he contrasted fairly well in the dark sky toward the bright moon and stars. Additionally, he used mostly organic shapes. On the other hand, in Henri Matisse’s painting, it can be appreciated a greater variation of contrasting colors.
