While I will agree with you on the basis that the Renaissance were perhaps more unique than Haskins gives it credit for, I will disagree with your evaluation of what does make the Renaissance unique. You say that societal changes were significant, and perhaps they were if you were upper class. The lower classes, however, didn’t experience the Renaissance in quite the same way.
