1. Compare and contrast responsible vs. compliant or ethical.
Responsible: Responsibility means the duty, obligation or liability of person to something. It’s what person is supposed to do. A responsible person does his duty correctly. It’s not something a person is bound to do. It’s the person’s obligation.
Example: a responsible father does care his family. A responsible teacher teaches his/her students regularly, a responsible employee come to office regularly and does his work properly.
Compliant: Compliant means what a person must do to fulfill his/her responsibility. A compliant person is compatible with the laws, guidelines and proper procedures.
Example: An employee is compliant to be present in the office every day, because, he/she is appointed to do the work. But, how he/she do the work is his/her responsibility.
Ethical: Ethics includes the values and guidelines by which we live. Ethics is the state of judgment between right and wrong. It is the systematic study of morality and the science of morality.
Example: A person is compliant to come to the office regularly. This person comes to the office regularly.
He/she is responsible, does the assigned work properly and efficiently. This person is responsible also.
But, the person does not release any file until and unless he/she is getting some direct or indirect benefits from the client. So, this person is not ethical.
2. Explain Maslow’s hierarchy of need and relate the ethical expectation at each level.
1. Physical needs: these are the most basic needs for a person to live. Physical needs include all the primary needs like food, shelter, clothes, sleep, and all the other biological needs.
