Have you ever thought about how different the Americans and Romans are? They have different lifestyles, cultures, traditions, and their military is different too. Even though they are different, they are also the same. Their military is different and the same because of the way they train soldiers, their ranks, and their uniforms.
Roman soldier’s armor is either made out of metal or leather. They will carry around shields for protection and fight with swords or any other weapon a craftsman made for them. American soldiers are different, instead of metal and leather they would wear camouflage to blend in and instead of swords and shields they will carry guns and haul cannons with them.
They both train hard and take military very seriously. The Roman soldiers did practice their fighting skills, but they also practiced their marching skills. The Americann soldiers train similar to them and they march as well, but only when they are marching into a war and when they participate in parades. They don’t need to practice it and take time to rehearse it though. The Roman and American military had certain ranks for the soldiers because they needed some way to organize them. The Romans had more ranks because they needed an easier way to organize their men, and the American’s ranks were organized by either a captain or a lieutenant. The Americans and Romans are the same because they both fought in war years ago, and are still fighting battles today. The American and Roman army is mostly the same, but their uniforms, weapons, and training is different.
