One of the first things noticed by these characters are their physical features. August has a deformed face due to mandibulo-facial dysostosis. With a face like that, he is just about to start school at fifth grade because of being homeschooled his whole life. On the other hand, Norah, has long blonde hair with a beautiful face, who has been going to school her whole life and has no problems with completely new experiences. August has new thoughts about the world, because of his experience in school, and understands a little more about what life really feels like. Norah is somewhat alike in a way that she is part of a crime agency, and has to think enigmatically to resolve somebody else’s conflict. While this can be alike in certain ways, it can also be classified as different. Norah has nothing to worry about with school or what other people are thinking. With her perfectly proportioned facial features, she is focused more on her crime agency. August has completely opposite things to worry about, such as his face, other people’s actions or companionships or a lot of the the drama in school. They both have an instant relation that can also be completely
