Change can be hard and we may not always have control over these changes. Usually, not having control over decisions in life can be aggravating. For example, in “The Circuit and in “The Return”, both characters face changes that they had not expected.

Sometimes we have full control over these changes while other times we feel as though we have no say in what is going on in our lives. In times when we feel we have no control, people tend to think the whole universe is against them and is just waiting to see them fail. Everyone has gray spots in their lives, and we can choose to grieve over them for days, months, and sometimes even years, or we can choose to move on and enjoy the company of those around us. Also, oftentimes, we want to go back to our old customs and lifestyle since that is what we are used to. It is crucial as a member of a society to learn and understand the importance of believing in ourselves, our capability to try new things and learning from our past
