Compare And Contrast The Creation Story Of Olurun

Olurun is the ‘principal’ god, he also goes by the names of “Eleda” and “Oladumare”. Other orishas (gods and goddesses) include Odudua a goddess with whom Olurun had two children (Belcher 2005). From the two children Olurun and Odudua had (a male and a female), came Orungan. Orungan’s mother was also the source of several orishas such as Shango, Oshun, Olukun, and Ogun (Belcher 2005).
