The Spanish revolution occurred in 1936 and was lead by Francisco Franco. Franco convinced the majority of the Spanish Army to join the revolution. Not only did they have an army of their own, they also were being backed by both Mussolini and Hitler, two of the most powerful rulers in Europe. Similarly to the Spanish revolution, the Russian revolution was lead by one person, Lenin Trotsky. Similarly to the Chinese revolution, Lenin lead the Bolsheviks to overthrow the government. Their justification for the war was similar to both the Spanish and the Chinese revolution. The Russian revolution had a large army that which meant power and strength. This gives them the probability of success, but they also believed that the outcome of the revolution would be better than before. Unlike both the Chinese and Spanish revolutions, women in the Russian revolution did not have a major role. The Chinese, Russian, and Spanish revolutions all had many similarities and differences. One big similarity these revolutions had in common was they were all used to overthrow some form of government. One big difference all these revolutions had were women's roles.
