Compare And Contrast The Two Types Of Excitatory Transmitters
Neuro- is nerves and transmitter can send waves that carry a signal. In other words, a neurotransmitter is sort of like a mail man, although in this case instead of being called a mail man, it is called a chemical messenger. Like a mail man, a chemical messenger can transmit signals or codes from one neuron to another. And the way that this takes place is by synapses. There are two synapses that have two different names that are allowing these neurons to communicate or send messages to one another without having to touch. And since they are transmitting these messages without touching, there is a small gap between the two synapses, called a gap junction. This so called gap junction allows for the two synpases to communicate the message being sent. There are two types of neurotransmitters, which are excitatory and inhibitor. But, in this case, we are dealing with an excitatory neurotransmitter. …show more content…
The types of excitatory transmitters that could be brought on are dopamine, norepinephrine, epinephrine or acetylcholine, and glutamate. Each one of these is used for something different in the body and include a different process. Like stated before, these types of transmitters are transmitted through chemical messengers to the brain. Since we are talking about acetylcholine and dopamine, those both have very different functions for the body. One deals with motor skills and memory while the other deals with movement and emotional reponses along with many other

    Neurons are electrically excitable cells found in the nervous system, which is mainly responsible in the transmission of information between the neurons and the cells. With the neurons, all body systems are able to communicate with the brain through sending and receiving signals and a connection within specific regions of the central nervous system is established. To be able to attain its function, neurotransmitters are needed by the neurons so that signals between a neuron and a cell are relayed, amplified and modulated. Neurotransmitters are chemicals released by a neuron at the presynaptic nerve terminal by which movement across a small gap called the synapse facilitates accomplishment of communication of information between the neurons and the other cells. These neurotransmitters have various functions, which include regulation, stimulation, motivation, transmissions and inhibitions of different body functions.
