I love animals from the big to the small and everything in between but they’re all different in some way and others are completely different like reptiles and amphibians and mammals and the like but they’re also all the same in some way, what if someone compared them someway?...
Whales are the largest animal to ever live, and possibly that ever will live. They are bigger than any dinosaurs. They survive from the coldest waters in the arctic and sometimes frozen waters, to the warm and lively coastal waters across the Earth. On the other side of the scale we’ve got Rats, your first thought is, “Ewww, rats are DISGUSTING!” But rats are actually very complex and quite smart, how do you think …show more content…
Good? Okay, now picture a rat. And finally picture them both at once right next to each other, big difference, right? Well, they can be quite similar, mind you. They’re both mammals for one which is the easiest similarity but there are other things. - Now, I’m going to skip all the things that have to do with being mammals like live birth and hair and stuff like that. – They are both extremely smart and have gotten past complex problem-solving tests and mazes. They also both have large families of multiple types of their species such as the blue whale and the river rat.
See, now you’re thinking, “Hey, I guess things aren’t as different as I see them.” Well, they are. For one you’ve probably already forgotten about the size thing, plus there are a lot of other differences. When rats get pregnant, they’re pregnant for 3 to 3 ½ weeks. Whales? They get pregnant for 11-16 months!
So now you’re thinking, “I was wrong in the beginning, then I was wrong after the third paragraph, am I STILL wrong?” No, probably not, if you’re thinking they are both very different but also very similar in a happy middle then your correct. I hope this paper opened your eyes to the (probably already known) differences and (possibly unknown) similarities and that you would start to see things a different way, thank
