Compare and contrast one of these topics: (3-5 paragraphs) * Two seasons * Two teams * Two holidays * Two colleges / universities

The Orioles and Ravens are similar but yet not so similar after all. The two teams show comparison because both of the teams play in Maryland, there stadiums are right across the street from each other, they are both professional leagues , both have dye heart fans, has had there fare shares of wins and losses. The Orioles have been around in Maryland as there baseball team since 1954. The Orioles went to the World Championships in 1966, 1970, 1983. The Ravens have been around a little over then 13 years as Maryland’s football team but seem to have a bigger fan base then the Orioles. Also the Ravens have only one the super bowl once in 2000. Another similar trait that the Ravens and the Orioles have is that both of their mascot’s our birds.
The Ravens are in the National Football League and have been around for a short period of time compared to other NFL teams. Even though they have been around for a little over then 13 years they still are one of the best NFL teams in my opinion. In the last 4 years the Ravens have gone to the playoffs and last year the made it all the way up to the end of the playoffs sadly losing by the Patriots.

The Orioles are in the Major League Baseball and have gone to the world Championships 3 times in the 58 years of them begin around. The Orioles compared to the other MBA teams are kind of bad but this season they did awesome. With them winning mostly every game they played making it to the playoffs two but losing Tampa before the championships.
What are the ravens and Orioles Differences? The Ravens have a bigger fan base win or lose, they are a football teams, haven’t been in Baltimore as long as the orioles. The Orioles are a baseball team that has been around longer then the O’s. The o’s fan base is a little far weather when the loose nobody likes them at all but when they

FACTS: Frederick E. Bouchat is an amatuer artist who has a ninth grade education and works as a security guard at the entrance of Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation, in downtown Baltimore. He is known for his original art and frequently showed his work to people at the State of Maryland office building on St. Paul Street. In the fall of 1995, the Cleveland Browns’ football team relocated to Baltimore. Excited about the Cleveland Browns’ move to Baltimore, Bouchat designed a logo for the football team in November 1995. The logo consisted of a portion of the Maryland flag and a raven inspired by the late Edgar Allen Poe. Bouchat designed the logo and affixed it on a mini football and gave it to Eugene A. Conti, Jr the Secretary of the Department of Licensing and Regulation, which Conti kept on display in his office. Conti arranged a meeting on March 28, 1996 with John Moag the chairman of the Maryland Stadium Authority (MSA) to feature him in the employee newsletters with his sketches. Moag instructed Bouchat to fax his logo sketches to team officials whose offices were in the same building after informing him that the new teams name is Baltimore Ravens. Bouchat sent the fax of his sketches on April 1 or 2 1996, but did not keep the fax transmittal receipt. In June 1996, the Baltimore Ravens revealed their logos to the public and the logo was very similar to the logo sketches that Bouchat fax. Bouchat filed a lawsuit…

Basketball has become a very popular sport amongst all types of people ranging from little kids to the older generation. The most widely recognized and televised games are those of the NCAA college basketball teams and those of the NBA. With hectic party schedules, professors assigning to much homework, and working that pain in the butt job its hard to decide what games to have your TiVo record. Everyday, stereotype is used in the society. Sometimes, when people use stereotype on other people, they don’t even recognize it because it’s so common and is ignored by the society. It’s a way to judge people through their common believes based on ethnicity, gender, skin color, appearance and language of the people who are being judged. For example, when people see a Vietnamese woman in her 20’s, 30’s and 40’s just migrated to America, they would assume that she will be working in a nail salon and flirt with some rich guys to get married with. Being stereotype is difficult deal with, and it’s really offended and hurtful. “The Myth of the Latin woman: I Just Met a Girl Named Maria” by Judith Ortiz Cofer and “Mother Tongue” by Amy Tan share some common and different stereotypes that they had to go through. In the story “The Myth of the Latin Woman: I just met a Girl Named Maria”, Judith Cofer wrote about her experiences being stereotyped as a Latin woman. In “Mother Tongue,” Amy shared her personal experiences being stereotyped with her language’s barrier. Even though the two female authors shared the similarity for being stereotyped by the society, they faced different situations on the way they were stereotyped.…

Ravens have more of a guttural, low-croaking call and crows give a cawing sound. An auxiliary way for contrast is that ravens are more capable to make variations in sound repertoire that might sound very odd to listeners (JuneauAlaskaVideo). The last unlikeness is the raven has a longer wingspan with four thin, long feather "fingers" to the American Crow's five broad ones.…

The Miami Dolphins are a professional American football team based in the Miami metropolitan area. The team is part of the AFC East, or American Football Conference's East Division, in the National Football League (NFL). The Dolphins play their home games at Sun Life Stadium in the northern suburb of Miami Gardens, and have their headquarters in Davie, Florida. The Dolphins are one of the oldest NFL franchises of the South and Miami is the oldest AFC team in that region. In their early start of 1966, the Dolphins quickly became one of professional football’s winning team. Shortly after their start the Dolphins won two Super Bowls back to back in 1972 and 1973, but the teams record has suffered in the past few years and this has caused poor attendance to the games. In the 2001-2002 season, the team brought in an average of 73,470 fans to watch home games, the seventh highest in the NFL. By the 2011-2012 season, that figure dropped to 60,866, the fifth lowest.…
