Used Car vs. New Car Some people are fortunate enough for their first car to be a brand new car, no matter what make and model it is. Most likely, your first car is a used one. It may be a 99’ Corolla to a 06’ Altima, both with 100,000 mile on them, but they all serve the same purpose, to get you places. Used and new cars may be different, and some may be the same. Both cars have a stereo system with FM radio, seats, and space, but it’s the detail that makes things different. Used cars may only have a cassette player, which no one has now, while new cars have an auxiliary and USB port, and GPS. You might like a lot of space in a car for going on road trips, or you might like very little to no space at all for racing, depending on what kind of car you get, like a SUV or a sports car. All cars have engines ranging from a four cylinder to a V8 engine. Used cars are commonly known for having at least one thing wrong with them. It could be something wrong with the engine the previous owner didn’t know what to do about it, or it just doesn’t feel like the car is running smoothly. Owning a new car saves you the trouble, worries, and the stress, compared to owning a used car. You don’t worry about the car shutting down on you while you’re driving, or anything else that can put you, and somebody else, in danger. When I’m in a parking lot and see a “top of the line” car, I say to myself, “Wow, I wonder how much one of these cost?” Some new car owners might have the wealth to pay the new car off, while used car owners pay half or less for the price of a brand new car. The money you save could be used to repair, or even upgrade your used car so it can run like new. At least $600 are going to be spent on repairing and maintaining a used car. On the other hand, maintenance on a new car is little to $300 depending on what make and model the car is. You can have a huge Hummer, or a 2-door Chevy Cobalt, new or used, they both get you to your destination. It is

Historically there have been three choices when purchasing a used car. First, you may negotiate with the usual car dealership. This brought many challenges, such as small inventory and limited inventory. Additionally, you had to worry about the limited financial options and their suspicious reputations. Next, you could visit the new car dealers but their main objective will be to sell you used cars. Therefore, they will also have a limited supply of used cars. Lastly, you could buy or sell privately. This sort of purchasing can bring many headaches while receiving little on return.…

The Japanese-market cars were launched during the 1970s. In the United States, the Corolla grew in popularity and the Corona model debuted as well. The successful Celica sports coupe was also rolled out and would remain in production for more than 30 years. This was my first Toyota model I purchased in 1987. It was a yellow, 5-speed transmission, 2-door, four cylinders with around 100,000 miles. I drove the car for 8 years: from Columbia to Florence, SC for the first six years; then from Columbia, SC to Charlotte, NC, for a year and a half, then after, until I sold it with over 300,000 miles on it. Those experiences sealed me as a Toyota model customer.…

In 1902, only 23,000 cars were in operation in America compared with 17 million horses. Yet, 50 small motor clubs had been formed by motoring enthusiasts across the country. The growth of the number of cars is incredible today. According to the Bureau of Transportation, there are 254,212,610 registered passenger vehicles. 1902 to today, the number of cars has grown about 254,189,610. Furthermore, imagine the number in car in the next century. The number of Cars in 1902 to 2015 is just the half of it. With current and/or new technology that is soon to come, the design of the car in a century would be dramatic as well. For example, some people in 1902 described automobiles as “horseless carriages”. Today some people describe as cars as efficient and high- quality. The safety in cars today is better for collisions. Although price increased by A LOT it is worth the pay. Moreover in 100 years, there would be a dramatic change in the number of cars in America, the design, and the price.…

While my previous car was not a terrible car, I had lacked a sense of ownership in it due to it being handed to me. Purchasing my very own car that I decided on, it gave me pride in what I was driving. I invested thousands into it fine-tuning and modifying it in any way that I desired. I learned many useful insights about automobiles, as well as having fun in the process. As the rules were for my first car, I had to come up with the money for the gas and insurance as well. Working harder and more frequently, I was able to afford and maintain the financial responsibilities required to have my…

A speech, or formal address delivered to an audience, has many purposes. It can be used to inform people and increase awareness on topics or to teach and demonstrate things. Speeches can also persuade people to make a change and can be entertaining. Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream” speech and Sojourner Truth’s”Ain’t I a Woman” speech both appeal to their audience through the art of persuasion through the use of various compositional features. Both M.L.K’s “I Have A Dream” speech and Truth’s ”Ain’t I a Woman” speech capture and motivate their respective audiences for change but both authors are similar and also differ in their compositional techniques to reach their audiences. Sojourner Truth’s sarcastic yet bluntly honest speech makes quick and active use of repetition, ethos, and personal anecdotes to reach her listeners. King’s speech, on the other hand, passionately and eloquently implements the use of repetition, logos, and personal and historical references.…
