Compare Who Is To Blame For Romeo And Juliet's Death
Ultimately, I think Romeo and Juliet are to blame for their deaths. Yes, the long-lasting family feud could be blamed. Yes, Friar Laurence could be blamed for planning something of such high risk. Yes, Lord Capulet could be blamed for arranging Paris and Juliet to be married. Under all these circumstances, though, Romeo and Juliet could have made different decisions that wouldn’t have led to death. For instance, they could have chosen to take their time getting married, instead of rushing into it. Friar Laurence foreshadowed this point in act two, scene six. “These violent delights have violent endings...Too swift arrives as tardy as too slow.” Also, if Romeo hadn’t let his anger get the best of him after Mercutio died, he wouldn’t have been
