Comparer shopping between Saudi Arabia and the United States
Comparer shopping between Saudi Arabia and the United States.
The United States and Saudi Arabia both have their own unique way of shopping. It is not common that we in KSA are spending an hour or more in front of the computer screen looking for clothes, shoes and other personal items like furniture, cars, and audio systems. However, in the United States I think that many people like to shop online from amazon or others companies online. First of all, based on this simple fact, I believe that there is a difference between Saudi Arabia and the United States about how people like to shop. For instance, in Saudi Arabia there are more than ten malls in each city that has more than 10,000 people. Rather than in America, Saudi Arabia has many more place for you to buy these items like many more clothing stores, stores for shoes etc. On the other hand, I have lived in three states which include Kentucky, Texas and New York. Each city has more than 10.000 people, but all of the cities have no more than two malls. So to me, Saudi people like to go out for shopping rather than shopping online like Americans. Secondly, there is a lot of web sites that many people in America use to find vehicles. For instance, internet browser sites like ‘cars.com’ and craigslist can help people shop around and search for certain cars, such as Honda, Toyota and Nissan, but in Saudi Arabia there are no web sites like that at all. So in conclusion, to me America spends much more time doing online shopping than our country where people would spend time in the malls with our family and friends. Finally, I think that everyone has their own way of shopping and which way they would like to shop.

During the early 1990s, opportunities in South East Asian markets became increasingly important to American and European retailers seeking to sustain their international growth rates. In particular, the less developed markets of South East Asia began to attract attention which they had previously not received. This was in contrast to earlier expansion patterns among European international retailers. Before the early 1990s, retailers have tended to look towards Europe and North America, rather than East Asia to grab international growth opportunities.…

America is a country of many ethnicities, colors, races, and backgrounds. Within this multicultural society, life and various situations bring these cultures together, forcing members of different groups to interact. This intercultural mix however, invites conflict as differing opinions, values, traditions and behaviors often create misunderstandings and barriers between groups and individuals. The film, My Big Fat Greek Wedding may be viewed as a text that captures and addresses this political and social dilemma. Further, it is a movie that has been carefully constructed and produced to convey a preferred message about this dilemma to a certain audience. Through a narrative analysis, one may identify the film’s key existents and events to try to interpret what this message might be; what producers are trying to say to viewers about this social issue.…

Second, thinking about the duration in each shopping, males and females are different. Ladies usually spend longer times shopping. Each time they go, they spend at least three hours visiting from one store to another and asking for any information related to goods and products from the shopkeepers though they do not wish to buy them. Moreover, if there is a special discount, they will buy those products without intention. In contrast, boys usually spend less times shopping. Each time, they just go straight to the stores that they plan from home. They do not pay attention to anything they do not plan to buy at all. Though there is a special discount on the things they do not need, neither will they buy nor they take a glance at those goods on sale.…

The online medium of commerce has provided and will continue to provide great opportunities for consumers and businesses. However, there are a number of issues that need to be addressed before the advantages of online shopping can be fully realized. One significant aspect is consumer perception of online shopping. The purpose of this paper is to examine the online shopping perception of consumers who shop from traditional stores. A survey was conducted in shopping malls in the southeastern region of the United States. The results show a positive perception of offline consumers toward online shopping. In addition, the results coincide with national trends for online shopping which show many traditional shoppers gather information on products and services online, but still make the purchase onsite in a traditional setting by visiting a store.
