The time period of O’ Brother Where Art Thou was in 1937. The KKK meeting wasn’t part of the plot, but it was included to show what was happening during the setting of the movie. The setting of the Odyssey was more in the medieval times. In conclusion, both, Everett and Odysseus survive all of the adventures and dangers of their journey. There are many mistakes made, and bad errors in judgment, but they got out of all of their situations alive. Their men trusted and followed them, even though at times they knew that it wasn’t the best thing to do. Some of the events in both stories were so ridiculous, like when they believed that someone turned Pete into a toad, or when Odysseus managed to trick the Cyclops into moving the boulder from the cave entrance.
