Brutus’s speech is based around him justifying why he killed Caesar and that it was for the good of rome. When he starts his speech Brutus addresses the crowd by saying “Rome, countrymen, lovers…” which shows that he puts the good of Rome before all else. He says repeatedly how he loved caesar but, loved Rome more. While talking to the crowd brutus always stands above them on steps, to assert power and show that he is on a “higher” status level. Mark also brought out caesar's dead body and uncovered it for the crowd to see what awful things the conspirators did to him. Mark Antony gets more involved with the crowd during his speech, he does not stand higher to show a higher status level, he walks in the crowd and intermixed with the commoners and gets more involved with them, he wants to share Caesar's will, the people of rome want to see the will so they convert from brutus’s side to Marks, beside the fact that they were against mark to begin with. In the start of his speech Mark interrupts brutus when he brings in Caesar's body and says “friends, roman, countrymen…” showing that he is friends with the romans and he doesn't see himself as a superior. He also says that brutus is an honorable man but is not telling the truth and that the conspirators were not just looking out for the good of rome when they killed
