During the speech, there is no music, it zooms into the actor who plays Hamlets face, who does not show any emotion, nor change in his voice the entire speech. His voice is monotone, and there is no music behind around him to add to the silence, which is not necessary a bad thing, does nothing to cover up the lack of expression in his voice. During the speech, the camera focuses on Tennants face, the background behind his face is nearly pure black, which makes both the camera, as well as the watcher to focus specifically onto Hamlets face. Because of this zoom, and the darkness, we can not truly see the area around him, and what the setting is. This is not a good thing nor a bad thing, as this does not do too much on its own, as the back round of the scene isn't what this scene is about, it is supposed to focus on the speech “To be or not to be”. The camera changes slightly into the speech to focus light on Hamlet as he leans on the wall. This makes him stand out even more.with the background, although the light is not necessary it does add light to a scene, sorely lacking in that category. Overall this version is the worst of the three, and really does not do anything to make itself stand
