The Heart of Darkness and The Secret Sharer The Heart of Darkness and The Secret Sharer are two brilliant novels by Joseph Conrad. The Heart of Darkness is about Marlow a civilized man who embarks on a “night Journey” into the heart of africa. To only find the evil and darkness inside himself. The Heart of Darkness is split into three different parts part one part two and part three. The Secret Sharer is about a young Skipper. Skipper is tasked with deciding the fate of a fugitive sailor who killed a man in self-defence. The Secret Sharer is a slightly shorted novel that is split into two parts.
The Heart of Darkness part 1 It starts on the Nellie a pleasure ship. There are Five men on the deck of the ship the Director of Companies, who is the captain and host, the Lawyer, the Accountant, Marlow, and the unnamed Narrator. The men began to recall the great men and ships that have set forth on voyages. Marlow recalls his experience as a fresh-water sailor, when he was young man he captained a steamship going up the Congo River. After the men's stories Marlow hears that he has gotten the job and travels across the English Channel. When Marlow arrives he finds two women their.
