Lutherans did not. Luther disapproved of the wealth and luxury associated with the Catholic Church. He felt wealth temporary not spiritual. So he saw no point to focus on wealth. However; Henry, whose main interest was in gaining power and stability for England, had no problem in using religion to gain wealth. In fact, when the Church of England was created, Henry sold many lands to Nobles who were willing to pay large amounts of money for it and he gained more wealth for England.
In conclusion, King Henry VIII and Martin Luther made a movement that reformed the church, changed religion, and thoughts about wealth. King Henry VIII and Martin Luther differed greatly in their lifestyles and statuses. They both believed in bringing about religious changes during the Reformation. Both of these men were driven to change the church to what they believed was right. The purpose of these monarchs differed.
