Comparing Mermaid Movies

Mysterious, magical, and mesmerizingly beautiful, mermaids have enchanted people for thousands of years. No matter how far you go in the world you will hear stories of mermaids, who are sometimes benevolent, sometimes destructive, but always alluring. She creature has more correct facts about mermaid lore, while the movie splash is more fairy tail, most of the myth on mermaids in that movie are more made up just for the movie and does not really have most of the true lore and has existed for centuries. These magical creatures from these too movies are too sides of the same coin one very instinctive and true to the actual myth, while on the other side there is the mermaid that are more geared towards kids being pretty and friendly. These movies are so very different there isn't one thing about these movies that are the same except for the main theme of both movies mermaids. The mermaid on she creature is beautifully mysterious, with a very natural looking tail and the way it bends makes it look very realistic, she never speaks throughout almost the whole movie she only speaks
The scene contradicts the legend because mermaids are supposed to be rather wise in a mythical creature kind of way, unlike the splash mermaid the she creature mermaid is very wise as in she is silent but knows a lot more than she is letting on, they slowly find out that she is just playing all of them and leading them in a trap without having to say or do a single thing. While in splash the mermaid is helpless and can barely make up her mind. Also in most greek myths sea nymphs are very wise they either help travelers or they trick them and send them to their deaths using cunning and creativity, in no way in the traditional myth of mermaids are they ever depicted as naive helpless
