In Plato's Republic every individual is born to some class. Guardians must rule, auxiliaries must maintain ruler’s convictions and producers are to maintain their nature granted skills such as blacksmiths, farming, ect. It is important that everyone fulfills their role and to not interfere with any other to keep the system going smoothly. This would or could compared to a surgical team. On a surgical team you have the surgeon or "ruler" they call all the shots and you go as they say. Next you have the anesthesiologist this person would be known as the "auxiliaries" in this case to make sure the patient is on board and ready for operation and has no fear or pain for instance the auxiliaries would make sure people understand what the rule is and abide by the …show more content…
Aristotle's says that we find other goods to find happiness, when really happiness is in itself. So how do we find happiness? Happiness is based off human existence and virtue. We develop virtuous habits so every time we run through something different in life we tend to compare it to our past experiences of virtuous habit which has been altered overtime. Which brings us to continence and incontinence. When a person is continence they are tempted but they still do what is right instead of giving into temptation. Then you have incontinence, When the person knows what is right but does what is wrong so they given to temptation and there is usually a reason. Living a contemplative life is impossible. Without the right environment, the right environment impossible, without the right government. So if the harmony of the city is not functioning well Aristotle's said the harmony of the human will not function well
