Comparing Safety Policies with My Plan versus another Early Child Care Learning Center
I am comparing my safety polices with that of Bright Beginnings Christian Learning Center’s safety policy. Bright Beginnings is a community oriented institution where they seek to accommodate parents who deserve their children to be educated in a Christ-centered environment. They are sponsored by their Church, “Gethsemane Baptist Church”. They are a Christian education and academic institution which offers classes serving three year olds to K-five. The center is committed to providing children with spiritual and academic excellence through the A Beka Curriculum. A Beka book is a Christian curriculum company that produces academic materials for all subject areas. Available for schools and homeschooling families, ABB offers a traditional, biblical education experience for students in preschool through high school (Dennis, K.). Bright Beginnings Christian Learning Center has quite of few safety policies as Knowledge Universe / Champions has. If there are accidents and injuries that occur, the same policy is put in place such as calling 911 and parents when major accidents happen. Or parents or guardians are informed immediately when an injury has occurred. They also have shelter-in-place, an emergency crisis response plan, reverse evacuation plan, and a lockdown in case of an intruder. Also a plan if there is a hostage situation. The strengths that KU / Champions have are that we tell the parents that files are kept confidential as with BB there is not statement saying this policy. Also KU / Champions have a rule about visitors and how it must be approved and they must sign in. Their policy is parents
