I strongly disagree with Searle’s concept in “strong Al” which suggests that, indeed a well-programmed computer can function as a brain, due to their artificial intelligence that can even explain and understand what we cannot comprehend. In addition, he believes that computers do possess cognitive states. However, he objects using
“weak Al”, which explains the fact that everything the computer does is just matter of how things seem to be like but not actually how they really are.
I do agree with the concept of “weak Al” since that is the whole idea behind the human being inventing things like computers: to help in doing things that we cannot do and to do those that we can do in a faster and more accurate way.
