In around 2040 BC until about 1640 BC a glorious civilization began, it was called Egypt. Egypt was located in northern Africa. Egypt arose along the extensive and abundant Nile River. Egypt’s empire grew tremendously because of the opportunities the Nile River gave them. These opportunities included the producing of agriculture and the advancement in trade. Those opportunities helped with starting the civilization as a whole, but also advanced smaller parts of the empire (such as the economy, social status, and spreading of religion).
Next is the beginnings of Egypt’s government. The early Egyptian government was based upon a system of bureaucracy. Bureaucracy is a system of government which is separated into different levels and departments of authority. A specific name the …show more content…
Egyptians gave this kind of government is the Triangle System (or in other words a hierarchy). The Triangle System ranked people in society is order from: pharaoh, priest, soldier, scribe, merchant, farmer, and slaves or servants. This type of setup kept the Egyptians way of governing somewhat organized because it was the common title of people within their society.
Although Egypt may have had a very diverse culture in its early beginnings, it also had a few common things as other civilizations had too. One of these common things is Egypt’s economy. Like many other early civilizations, Egypt revolved around trade and farming. Considering Egypt’s location, acquiring certain materials for and from trade and farming was fairly easy.
A particular thing that is most diverse about Egypt is its religion. For one, Egyptians believed in an afterlife. An afterlife is the belief that when one dies, they will carry on into another life (hence the name afterlife). While preparing the deceased one for the afterlife, different steps are taken. One step that is taken is the process of mummification. Mummification is the preservation of a dead body. After mummification comes burying the tomb, self-explanatory. After these rituals are completed, the deceased can now “travel on” to the next life. Another religious belief is who is leading them. In the Egyptians case, either the priest (a theocracy) or the pharaoh can lead over them in their religious journey. As stated before, although Egyptians have a mostly diverse culture, they also share common beliefs. Such as the belief of a polytheistic world. Polytheistic means having more than one god.
Oneself may think this topic is most appealing about early Egypt.
This topic is the achievements of the early Egyptians. Two of Egypt’s most fascinating achievements is The Great Sphinx and The Egyptian Pyramids. These are two superb achievements because of the details, precise planning, and advanced technology and knowledge needed to complete these massive structures. The belief that the Egyptians made these structures is on a very thin line. Many individuals believe because of the Egyptians time era and the technology within that era, that it is possibly impossible they could create The Sphinx and Pyramids. Some have even said it was put there by some extraordinary
force.
Overall, The Early Egypt Civilization is beyond interesting. From the rich culture, to the precise detailing for their astounding monuments, Egypt has ceased to disappoint. Looking back on all of the accomplishments Egypt has made, it’s hard to believe that all this knowledge beyond years, this great precision, and this amazing civilization all started as a small, little place along this big river.
