is clearly to point out they are alike each other. Since both of them have strong leadership, they intended to spread idealism to other areas
Both Trotsky and Snowball have the eager to spread idealism worldwide.
Leon Trotsky was the best suited successor of Lenin. In order to help animals obtain the principle of animalism, Snowball painted seven commandments on the barn wall. He even reduces the commandments to a simple slogan (“four legs good, two legs bad”). In addition, Trotsky proposed an international communism; However, Stalin opposed it and retained to consolidate the power in Russia. What Snowball believed is sending pigeons across the nation, promoting rebellion among the animals on the other farms, which means they don’t need to defend themselves. In contrast Napoleon advocated training and reinforcing their power in their own farm to defend the homeland. Because of the different ideology between Napoleon and Snowball, their tension increased
gradually.
The rivalry between Snowball and Napoleon is similar to the relationship between Stalin and Trotsky. The relationship between Stalin and Trotsky grew more tense when they started competing for the power. Finally, Stalin took over the regime and Trotsky was exiled out of Russia to central Asia, moving around countries. Snowball intended to construct a windmill, endeavoring to give animals more leisure time which improve the quality of animals’ life. The idea of building a windmill proposed by Snowball was despised by Napoleon, and Snowball was expelled by Napoleon’s secret guards. Moreover, Trotsky was said as a traitor and was responsible for problems in Soviet Union after he was expelled and Snowball was blamed for problems in animal farm during his exile.
In conclusion,Snowball in George Orwell’s Animal Farm represents Trotsky who was the leader of Red army because of including similarities: having a strong leading capacity, endeavoring to spread ideology to other places ardently and having a strong rival. The rivalry between Snowball and Trotsky are the foremost point because text indicates the most examples.
