Tesco is a multinational grocery and general merchandise retailer. Tesco has branches in over 14 countries including countries like China, Japan, Mexico, Thailand and even more. The supplier in general wants to sell their products for the highest price, as they care about making profit as well as Tesco. The supplier also wants to be paid as soon as possible since they have their own costs such as paying their own workers, machinery and rent. Also if Tesco was to go bankrupt and they hadn’t paid the supplier yet then the supplier would risk not getting paid for a long time or maybe even not at all. So this is why the supplier is interested in being paid quickly. However it is in the owner’s interests to not pay them straight away and try to put it off as they also have costs to cover. So the supplier is interested in Tesco because the supplier will make money by selling to Tesco. The supplier is also one of the most important stakeholders in Tesco because without the supplier Tesco would have nothing to sell. It is very important that Tesco keeps good relations with the supplier as they will be more likely to get better deals with supplier if they have a good relationship. So the owners influence Tesco by trying to maximise their profit, this could include opening or closing stores, recruiting or dismissing staff, choosing to go with different suppliers, cutting wages or even selling a wider range of products. The owner’s interests also include Tesco having a good public image and making sure customers and employees are happy. However as said in my previous paragraphs about the customers and suppliers, some of the owners interests will be different than the other stakeholders.
From the owners point of view their aims will be the same as the aims of the business itself. So this includes making good profit and expanding the business while at the same time keeping the other stakeholders satisfied. The only difference may include the owners themselves pocketing as much money as possible.
Employee
An employee working at Tesco is simply someone who works for the company. Any employee in general wants decent wages and a good working environment with hours which suit them and as much payed holiday as possible. The employee’s interest also tends to differ from the owners interest as the employee wants higher
