This quote contrasts to ‘November’ which is mentioned in the next line, this suggest that she has blocked out all the bad things which haunts her memories as November tends not to have the best weather, relating normally to bitterness and the cold. Also, the lack of conjunction compared to the rest of the poem show that the poet wants to show breathlessness and for the reader to pity the character within the poem. This is a metaphor which means the character inside was left with a permanent feeling of the country that they left and is was a good one as it uses light imagery.
