COMPARISON BETWEEN IPAD 3 AND GALAXY TAB 2
Tablets are portable, slim, internet-connected computers. They are bigger than smart phones but operate in a similar way with touch screens and downloadable apps. They generally differ from laptops and net-books by having no built-in keyboard, and being thinner and lighter. Tablets are primarily designed for interactive entertainment, whether that’s listening to music, watching movies, reading e-books, playing games or surfing the web.

If we compare the iPad 3 and the Galaxy Tab 2, we can notice that the iPad 3 has a 4:3 aspect ratio Retina display while the Galaxy Tab has a widescreen display. The iPad 3 still retains the 9.7-inch screen, but the pixels are the double now, reaching 1536 x 2048 pixels. The high amount of pixels gives a better visual experience, including sharper images and text. In addition, the 4:3 aspect ratio display works well in browsing the webpages compared to a widescreen display. You are able to view more content on the screen without scrolling the page down.

Additionally, the iPad 3 has a better rated camera compared to the Galaxy, because the Ipad has 5 megapixels while the Galaxy has 3.15-megapixels. Plus, it is equipped with a 2.4 aperture lens that allows more light to hit the image sensor, resulting in clearer and sharper images. The camera is also capable of recording a 1080p full HD video which its competitor could not. The iPad 3 also offers LTE support in addition to the usual 3G and WiFi connectivity. Despite having a bigger battery capacity, Ipad is 11560 and Galaxy is 7000 mAh. The Ipad is still thinner than the Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1).
On the other hand, the Galaxy Tab 2 is great for watching movies with its widescreen display. Unlike the iPad 3, it has a microSD card slot that accepts cards up to 32GB. Each tablet is running on their respective operating system. The iPad 3 runs on iOS 5.1 and the Galaxy Tab 2 runs on

It seems ambiguous whether the Kindle Fire can be categorized as a tablet or e-reader. Nowadays, these two terms are looking and performing quite similarly thus making it difficult to tell them apart. There are some important differences between the two that will prove useful in making this distinction. The first is screen size as the Kindle Fire has a 7-ich screen, which is consistent with most other e-readers. In contrast, tablets come in a range of sizes but some of the more popular ones such as the i-Pad can have 10-iche screens. Another key differentiator is the software in each product; the i-Pad runs on the iOS, which has extensive online stores that have thousands of apps. They allow for a lot of options when you can have the option to download a second web browser outside of the one pre-installed. The Kindle Fire runs a special proprietary version of Android owned by Amazon with fewer features and available apps.…

The much anticipated Apple iPad was released today to lines of eager customers. The iPad was announced in January and hype has been up since. The iPad boasts features such as portability, e-book integration, as well as gaming capabilities. Apple executives have described the on-screen touch keyboard as easy to use; however, critics, especially bloggers, say it is not good for extensive typing projects. Customers purchasing the iPad have reasons that include everything from excitement over the e-reader features to a loyalty to the Apple brand. Some customers even report that they have little knowledge of the device but are purchasing it based on the brand and hype. One customer says that he doesn’t know what he will do with it but that he “can 't figure out how to use it if I don 't have one." The iPad weighs in at about 1.5 pounds and has a 9.7 inch screen. It currently connects to the internet solely via Wi-fi but later in April, there are plans to release a version that allows users to connect via AT&T’s 3g network. The iPad already has an extensive application availability and works similar to the iPhone and iPod touch, only with a lack of calling capability. The iPad is about 3 times the size of an iPhone and is still smaller than competing netbooks but, slightly larger than its e-reader competition the Kindle. Another feature similar to the iPhone is the iPad’s lack of a physical keyboard and integration of an accelerometer, which allows gamers to tilt the device to control what 's happening on the screen.…

Typically laptops come with more memory (4-8GB) than tablets. Tablets typically come with an average of 1GB of RAM. If the purchase is for memory purposes then the laptop would be a better option. However, the tablet can have increased memory it just comes at a steeper price ($2000) than the laptop. The battery life of the device is important depending on how much the device will be used. The average battery life for a laptop is about six hours. Let’s keep in perspective it takes more “juice” to run a laptop than a small tablet which has an average battery life of ten hours. The main focus for a purchase would be price, memory, and battery life. Laptops, like desktop PCs before them, have a built-in benefit over tablets, and that benefit is power. As a rule, laptops have more powerful processing hardware, allowing for a wider range of uses, faster performance and better multitasking. Laptops can easily handle common tablet uses—like Web browsing and media streaming—and then go significantly further, with uses ranging from simple data entry to complex tasks like photo and video editing.…

iPads are better for education because iPads are accessible and easier to move around with. iPads weigh 1.6 pounds. A backpack filled textbooks could way up to 10 pounds dragging students down. iPads are able carry all of those heavy books. They can store all of the students school supplies on its hard drive. Students would never have to carry books or note books again, since students can also take handwritten and typed notes on it. iPads are the best ways to learn these days.
