One of the major differences between fuels and electric is the cost. An electric vehicles power supply comes from a battery which is very expensive costing between $5,500 and $5,750 plus the cost of installation which takes about 3 hours. …show more content…
The truck can also go alot faster and has a higher torque and a lot higher carrying capacity the car goes 20 miles per hour slower than the truck and the truck can carry more and is higher off the ground. Although diesel has many pros gasoline and electric do as well if you live in a more urban environment electric and gas will do just fine but when you live out in the country electric does not have enough power so diesel is better to drive. Diesel burns dirty but is powerful they can go approximately 30 hours without having to stop for gas while electric can only go approximately 3 hours without stopping now i'm not rocket scientist but if im going across country road trip i would rather not have to stop every 3 hours with the truck (18 wheeler fully loaded) i will only have to stop once and the truck already has a bed in the back seat …show more content…
The process of making electricity is the worst form of all, most electricity is made from electromechanical generators that run on gas and diesel so you are doing two processes to generate electricity. If you have a combination car (prius) it is better your car runs on gas and electricity when you drive the car the battery charges and when going slow enough the car runs on electricity rather than gas but when accelerating fast and going fast it will run on gas the car also gets 500 miles to the gallon. But most vehicles are just one kind, many people do not know how this energy is produced most people just see what they are driving thinking they are helping the environment but are really hurting
